This week, Silicon Valley Tennis would like to turn the spotlight onto a couple of our High Performance students.
Yuu Ishikawa recently competed in the Girls 12s Clay Court Nationals, with a tremendous run. After a tough loss in the Round of 32, Yuu went on to win the northeast consolation, with a grueling 7-5, 6-4 win over the number 3 seed from Illinois. Yuu is currently 12 years old, and just this summer advanced from our Core Skills class to our High Performance class.
Last week, Aditya Goyal won his first tournament, competing in the Boy’s 18 Niru’s Tennis Academy Summer Junior Open Grand Prix. This was just the boost of confidence that Aditya needed, as he took out the number 1 seed in the semifinal before easily taking the win in the final round.
So when you see Yuu and Aditya returning to our practice courts this week, give them a high five and a pat on the back, for their stupendous efforts at these tournament events!
